NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.

At our school, SRE lessons are held between 2:05pm and 2:25pm on Wednesday and are delivered by the following providers:
Baptist Union of NSW, Roman Catholic Church, Anglican Diocese of Newcastle and Presbyterian Church of Australia. They provide two scripture options including Catholic Scripture and Non- Denominational Scripture. SEE (Ethics): Primary Ethics are our local provider, however, we currently do not have any Ethics Teachers available to deliver the program. We also offer non scripture where students participate in alternative activities including discussions around the ABC program Behind the News (BTN) and activities to encourage wellbeing and mindfulness.
